Silk’n Sensepil Laser Hair Removal System review by Derek Gordon

Along with the Tria laser hair removal system, the Silk’n Sensepil is a highly regarded, FDA-cleared home laser hair remover available in the U.S. Also like the Tria, the Sensepil utilizes technology that targets the pigment in darker hairs and then removes them with heat. And – again like the Tria – this means that the Sensepil is ineffective against lighter (blond, red, grey) hairs, and unsafe for those with dark skin.
To put it plainly, the Silk’n Sensepil has been proven to work. One published study showed, after just 3 treatments, that the Sensepil demonstrated a 54% hair reduction on the legs, and a 43% overall hair reduction. If this seems low, bear in mind that this is after only 1/3rd of the required sessions.
As far as cost goes, the Silk’n Sensepil will require you to purchase extra cartridges over the long term, where the Tria is a standalone machine. Given that the Sensepil sells for about $100 less than the Tria, however, the ultimate difference in cost is not that much higher for the Sensepil.
And the Silk’n company puts their money where their mouth is: they offer a 60-day money back guarantee as well as a 1-year warranty for product defects.
